Skådis boards are the cheapest way to get a filament wall going, but the stock IKEA accessories were never designed for 1 kg spools. This holder puts the spool on a horizontal axle carried by a back plate that hooks into the board, so the weight is spread across two rows of slots instead of hanging off one.

What actually matters

Print the back plate flat on the bed. Layer lines then run across the hooks rather than along them, which is the difference between a hook that flexes and one that snaps.
If your spools are wider than 68 mm, lengthen the axle before printing — an axle that bottoms out puts a bending load on the plate.
Two holders side by side on the same board row let you run a filament changeover without unclipping anything.

Questions

Will this fit a Skådis board from any IKEA?

Yes. The Skådis slot pattern is the same across all board sizes and colours — 5 mm slots on a 40 mm grid — so a holder built to those numbers fits every version.

Can it hold a 2 kg or 3 kg spool?

Not as designed. Bigger spools need a wider back plate spanning more slots and a thicker axle. Increase the plate width and axle diameter in Cadio before printing.
