Wall Key Holder

Keys by the door is a small thing that removes a daily annoyance. The design detail that matters is the hook shape: a straight peg lets keyrings slide off when the door slams, so the hook needs an upward turn at the tip.

Fits: Standard keyrings

What actually matters

  • The upturned tip is the whole design. A straight hook drops keys every time the door slams.
  • Print back-plate-down so the hooks build along their length rather than across a weak layer line.
  • Add a small shelf if you also want somewhere for cards — it costs almost nothing in print time.

Questions

How many keys can each hook take?

A normal keyring is nothing for a printed hook. It is the hook shape, not strength, that decides whether keys stay on.

Can I mount it without screws?

Adhesive strips work for a key rack — the load is light. Clean the wall first.

Need it in a different size, or with more slots?
