Pegboard Tool Holder
Standard imperial pegboard uses 6 mm holes on a 25.4 mm grid — the same everywhere, which makes it ideal for printed holders. The trick is the peg geometry: a straight peg falls out whenever you lift a tool, so the pegs need a hook that engages behind the board.

What actually matters
- Print face-down so the pegs grow along their length. A peg printed lying flat shears at a layer line the first time it takes weight.
- Two pegs minimum per holder. A single peg lets the holder rotate and dump the tool.
- Measure your board — some cheap boards are 6.35 mm holes on 25.4 mm, others are metric 5 mm. A peg sized for the wrong one is useless.
Questions
Does this work with metric pegboard?
Not directly. Metric boards typically use 5 mm holes. Change the peg diameter and pitch in Cadio before printing.
How much weight can a printed peg take?
In PETG with four perimeters, a two-peg holder comfortably carries hand tools. For anything over about a kilo, use a holder that rests against the board rather than hanging from the pegs alone.
