Plant Pot Drainage Feet

A pot sitting flat in its saucer leaves roots standing in water, which is what actually kills most indoor plants. Lifting it 15 mm lets water drain away and air reach the base, and outdoors it stops the ring stain on decking.

Fits: Any pot up to 400 mm diameter

What actually matters

  • Do not use PLA outdoors. It absorbs moisture, goes brittle in UV, and a foot that fails drops a heavy ceramic pot.
  • Four feet, not three. Three is stable in theory but pots are rarely flat underneath and three feet rock.
  • Higher is not better indoors — above about 20 mm the pot becomes easy to knock off.

Questions

Will they mark my floor?

Add a felt pad to the base if the pot sits on wood. Bare plastic under a heavy pot can scuff over time.

Can I use them for very heavy pots?

Increase the pad diameter and infill for large ceramics. Point loads on a small pad are what crack a foot.

Need it in a different size, or with more slots?
