Shower shelves are a good print because the shop-bought ones rust. The two things that decide whether yours lasts are drainage — standing water breeds mould — and material, because a shower is warm and permanently wet.

What actually matters
- PETG at minimum. A warm, permanently wet environment is the worst case for PLA and it will go cloudy and brittle.
- Generous drainage slots. A flat shelf holds a puddle under every bottle and grows mould within weeks.
- Silicone adhesive rather than tape. Tape adhesive fails in steam, usually while the shelf is loaded.
Questions
Will it hold heavy shampoo bottles?
Yes, if it is bonded well. The failure point is almost always the adhesive, not the shelf.
Can I fit it without drilling tiles?
That is the intent — silicone or heavy-duty pads. Clean and dry the tiles thoroughly first.
